Some people have bad drawing days, I have bad drawing weekends!
Wanted to finish inking on a project, and nothing was working properly. Blah! I'm kicking myself to try and be more productive in the next few days, as I now have catching up to do.
Last wednesday, got a message from a good friend in NY: the company she works for needed a quick comic strip done for a special promotion. Before I could think to say yes or no, I was already quickly sketching characters for it. Hmmm...Guess that was a yes. They provided the idea, which I modified a little. They've been rather relaxed about the whole thing, not asking for changes. I spent 15 minutes on the look of the characters, and about 5 hours or so penciling, inking and colouring the whole thing. Not bad, considering I'm already working on two things at the same time (when it goes well anyway!)
On top of getting paid, I get free popcorn too! Cheese flavoured, of course.

| Cool designs, and a funny gag. I'm glad there are a good many places that are willing to use cartoons, like these, to promote their stuff. Although I'm disappointed that the promo is over. I could use a bag of popcorn to snack on right now! |

sukeband- yeah, I wish I had acted sooner to post about it (I didn't know it would work so well...then again, it had the words free and popcorn, what did I expect), that way a few Drawing Board people could have had free samples.

That strip is GREAT!! Nice job, very well done strip.
When I first started at my current job, the CEO of the company came very close to doing this. Instead of fire, it was just smoke, stinky smoke. He had just put the bag in the microwave, turned it on and left.
It fried the microwave. |
