Oh boy! naked lady!

I went to model drawing last evening. Hadn't gone in a long while. Like since college. Which was back in the day, where there were still mainstreem Goth Clubs in Montreal and I still got carded.
Ah, the memories....
But I digress.
I decided to paint rather than to draw, since it's only 1 long pose instead of many short ones then one longer one.
There were not that many people but another guy was painting and he rocked. I felt a little rusty and I'm not completly happy with the result. I took 2 pictures because different lighting makes for different impressions.
I took 30 minutes to mix my paints and prepare my canvas, so technically it's more like 2:30 hours than 3 hours. Acrylics on canvas that has modeling paste on it.

The model had wierd looking brest due to obvious brest reduction surgery. Also, it was the first time I saw a live shaved vagina. I don't see what the big deal is. It just looks itchier.
None the less she was very pretty, but I kind of screwed the face since she got up everyonce in a while to stretch and didn't take the exact same position. I had to compensate so that my portrait didn't look like a mutant. I had too much stuff lying around to move myself. Result: it doesn't look enough like her.
Oh well...
Also, here are a few quick cartoony sketches I did for fun of silly looking girls.

On a sadder note:
Tomorrow, I'm attending a service for my friend's mother. She was a great woman and artist who was taken from this world too early.
I will miss her and hope the best for her family and friends.
Here are 2 links I found of her artwork. It's highly powerfull and sometimes disturbing.

Wow! I really like these! Alot! I wanna say they look very impressionist inspired. They are just really well done. Good job! I'd like to see you on a non-rusty day.

Hey! I just found yer blog (I post as "ANGRY BEEF" in the Drawing Board forrums). I like the one on the right just a tad bit better than the one on the left... thought I can't put into words why. Just a gut reaction.

Its always interesting to see how much lighting can really alter the mood of a piece. Great painting, I think I'm drawn more to the screen left version

Eh beh

Nice ! Quelle belle découverte de voir que tu peint "from life" :)
