Project Rooftop

I sent an entry into the latest Project Rooftop subject which is a tribute to Mike Wieringo's Flash characters.  Here's my take on Impulse.


I know it's a little out of the ordinary (and maybe even sacreligious for hardcores) to put the Flash in blue,  but I have very little attachment to this character.  I guess one must consider history when redesigning classic, iconic characters.  Fortunately, Impulse isn't exactly one of those.  (Actually, I don't know.  Never read him much!) 

Anyway...I drew this at work in pencil (in between making the new Bionic Woman bionic) and finished the rest in Photoshop.

It's probably not fair that I have to follow my buddy Joel Carroll on Rooftop.  He's one of the best redesigners I know.
