So I hate
politics. Or at least I've always said I hate politics, which unfortunately
isn't true. I hate politicians. And that too is a modification of the truth. I
hate politicians that behave like the public image of a corrupt politician. And
there are a lot of those. Here in my country we are ruled by one. In my opinion
our prime minister is one of those slick, smart, lying scumbags that claim to look
out for the people and the country while all he really is interested in is
keeping the power. And smart he is.
A short background. Sweden is a socialist country. That doesn't mean communist
though, thank god. For a couple of years now the socialist party have held
power in their hands with the help from the communists (yup, we have those) and
the green party. And the country has gone down the tubes. And king size tubes
they are. We've come to a position where a lot of decisions have to be made
that will piss off the little guy. The public. Those who vote. We can all see
that. So in the upcoming election of 2006 the prime minister isn't interested
in being in charge any longer. He doesn't want to make those decisions. He
wants the rightwing politicians make them for him. In that way he can sit back
while the rightwing rescues our crumbling economy and save us from our steady decent
into oblivion. People won't like the steps taken and in the election of 2010
they will regain power by saying "lookit what the other side did. They
made it worse for you. We promise to do it better".
And the peons will look up from the mud and think salvation lies in the socialistic
views. And once again the steady decent into oblivion will be resumed. And
eight or twelve years later it will all be repeated.
No, I'm not paranoid. The prime minister has lately said a lot of obviously
stupid things. Among other things he said he was open to censorship of the
media to stop the increasing slant towards sex in the main media of the
country. Well, hello. Any sane person won't ever agree to that. Freedom of
speech is quite a nice thing after all. But it's all a step in the plan of not keeping
the power. Fool the people. He isn't that stupid after all. He's a politician.
But something must be rotten in the state of Sweden if the prime ministers main concern
isn't making it a better and working country, but to keep his party in power in
any way possible. Something must be rotten indeed.
